I am not ashamed to say that I have a notebook obsession! I love them. In addition to being useful, you can find some with some great cover designs! I use them for a variety of things like journaling, writing projects, writing ideas and planning among other things.

One of the hardest things about shopping online is the inability to touch and examine products. Hopefully you find this post helpful in getting an idea about what the notebooks from Zazzle are like.

Society6 and Redbubble also have notebooks The notebooks with the orange slices and the Monster Bear notebook above that are from RedBubble. The mustard pattern one is from Society6. I originally was going to write about all three company’s notebooks in one post, but then realized there was a lot of information to cram into one blog post! So each company will be getting their own notebook post. Stay tuned for information about the notebook from RedBubble and Society6!

The two notebooks pictured below are the ones I ordered from Zazzle. The ones featured here are Monster Bear Notebook and Love Ewe Sheep Notebook

Case-Mate Tough Xtreme iPhone 6 Case: A Review

Although I was excited about getting an iphone 6, I was more excited about ordering a case for it. After all, the case is where you get to show off your own taste and uniqueness! The possibilities for what design and artwork you can have on your case are endless!

For those of you who are interested I ordered the Sugar Pattern Skulls from my Zazzle store.

I wanted a heavy duty case because I am a klutz and drop things all the time! It actually took me a while to decide what case to get. On my iphone 4, I had a Speck Candy Shell and thought about going the Speck route again since it did such a great job of protecting my last phone. However, I also wanted a phone case with one of my own designs and yet one that would offer a good deal of protection. After some thought and research, The Case Mate Tough Xtreme iPhone 6 case seemed like it could do the job!

The case comes in two pieces. The design is printed on the back on a hard smooth material and the front is a screen protector. The two pieces snap together to form one case.

Over all, I am very pleased with this case. The case is definitely heavy duty! Just to give you a heads up in case you want to buy an arm band for exercising or anything, the case is on the thick side.

The printing also came out beautiful! It’s colorful and vibrant and looks very close to what I had in mind when I made the design.

When I ordered my case, I some how missed that it came with the screen protector part. The screen protector has both its pros and cons.

The pros are it prevents my screen from getting scratched up. (A big plus considering I tend to just throw my phone in my purse with a million other things.) Another pro is most of the time, it prevents my screen from becoming gross from things like natural oils on my fingers and such.

Now I say most of the time because, I have had from time to time things get caught under the screen protector. I’ve also found that the screen protector also makes it hard to use the touch screen sometimes. It seems that you have to jam your finger down hard or it doesn’t always respond when you slide your finger across. Usually not a major problem, but it does interfere with my Scramble with Friends games!

Over all, The Case Mate Tough Xtreme iPhone 6 is a great case and fits my needs. On a scale from one to ten, I would rate it an eight.

Minx Nail Stickers: A Review

I love doing my nails and am fascinated by all the nail art I see on places like Pinterest, for example. However, not all attempts at nail art turn out like the pictures, videos and tutorials. (They make it look so easy, don’t they?) Also, unfortunately, nail polish seems to take a long time to dry.

Which is why I love nail stickers! They come in a variety of designs, don’t take as long as nail polish and look great! It’s a win-win-win!

I was very excited when Zazzle announced that they were adding nail stickers to their products and of course immediately made some! Of course, I also immediately bought some! The design that I bought was Nature Swirls from my own Zazzle store, Valerie’s Gallery.

Since I was very excited to try them out, I was very pleased when they arrived a day early! Yea! Here’s what they look like when they arrive:

These nail stickers were a lot longer than my nails and that made them a little cumbersome to put on. I cut them with cuticle scissors, but still had to use a file to get them to fit the nail. (A word to the wise, the direction say to use an emery board on the smooth side. This is good advice. I thought it would be quicker if I used an emery board that was more on the coarse side. Bad decision. It ended up roughing up the tips of the nail stickers. I eventually wised up and switched to a smoother grained emery board. Guess there’s a reason they put that in the directions. Lesson learned.)

Here’s what my nails looked like after one full day of wear. They held up pretty good after a day of planting a tree, gardening (I did wear gloves), typing, and taking pictures. (Don’t forget I roughed up the tips with the wrong emery board on accident.)

I have to say that I was impressed with how long they lasted. The Minx Nail Stickers didn’t show any signs of chipping until Day 6 or 7. I’m pretty rough on my nails considering I do a lot of gardening, crafting, typing, etc. Here’s what they looked like at the end of Day 7:

I decided to take off the nail stickers the next day, so I wore them for a total of eight days. Truth be told, I probably could of stretched a few more days out of them if I had wanted to.

The nail stickers did come off with regular nail polish remover. However, I found that it took a while for the nail sticker itself to dissolve.

So in short, although the Minx Nail stickers were a little difficult to put on and take off, the trouble was worth it. These nail stickers last a long time and can stand up against a variety of activities that may take their tolls on our nails.
