From writing this blog, I’ve come tor realize that music and cats seem to be big themes in my work.\u00a0 I believe the cats come into play because I am a proud pet parent of two cats and I also volunteer at the cat building of a local animal shelter.<\/p>\n

I’m not sure why music seems to be a big theme in my work.\u00a0 I am a music fan and have been involved in marching bands, jazz bands, concert bands, choirs, etc from elementary school through college.\u00a0 I’ve learned to play many instruments like the flute, saxophone and trombone. I also enjoy making music for my videos. Maybe music is just ingrained into my subconscience.<\/p>\n

Rapper Cat in Bell Hat actually came about because I enjoy playing dance video games.\u00a0 (They’re great exercise and much more enjoyable than going to the gym or just doing the treadmill.)<\/div>\n

The highest you could score on each song in this particular game was five stars.\u00a0 So I decided that I was going to go through and get five stars on each game.<\/div>\n
However, there were a few songs that I kept having trouble with.\u00a0 One of them was a rap\u00a0 song.<\/div>\n

My game system is set up in my living room.\u00a0 One of my cats, Oreo, likes to hang out\u00a0 in the living room sometimes while I play.\u00a0 (And sometimes she decides that I’ve played enough by plopping down right in the area I would be dancing. \ud83d\ude42 )<\/div>\n

So one day, when Oreo came in to lounge, it just clicked!\u00a0 Thus Rapper Cat in Bell Hat was born.<\/div>\n
