My husband and I enjoy playing the video game, Rock Band.\u00a0 We tend to alternate between two of my favorite bands, The Beatles and Green Day. Our cat Oreo, likes to hang out with us in the living room when we play.\u00a0 We joke that she’s our groupie.\"photograph<\/a>So, this got me thinking, what if Oreo really was in a band?\u00a0 What would it be like? How many members would there be?\u00a0 Do I have too much time on my hands?<\/p>\n

But wait a minute, you may say, none of the cats in the Kitty Cat Kawaii Band are black and white!\u00a0 When I originally started working on the piece, the lead singer was suppose to look more like Oreo.<\/p>\n

However, I didn’t like the way it was turning out.\u00a0 Then I read a book about how to draw Kawaii style and that inspired the direction of the picture.<\/p>\n

One of the pieces of advice in the book was to keep it simple and obviously it was simpler to keep the cats a single color.\u00a0 I’m really happy with how it turned out.<\/p>\n
